MakerGhat is seeking a Finance & HR Compliance Manager with a proven track record of effectively managing organizational finances and human resources.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who excels at handling recruitment, accounting, and legal compliance, and who thrives in an environment of problem-solving and getting things done. The selected candidate will be a key player in ensuring the smooth financial and operational functioning of the organization.
The role will be remote but will require occasional travel (20% of your time may be spent on travel)
Reports to: Director, MakerGhat
CTC: INR 8 to 10 L (based on experience and quality of work)

Responsibilities and Duties
- Accounting & Financial Management:
- Oversee daily accounting activities and ensure accurate financial records.
- Manage accounts payable/receivable, invoices, and expense tracking.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, maintain cash flow statements, and perform reconciliation.
- Manage GST filings, TDS, and other statutory compliances.
- Coordinate with Chartered Accountants (CAs) for audits, financial statements, and taxation matters.
- Ensure all financial transactions comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Human Resource Management:
- Lead the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Handle employee records, payroll management, and benefits administration.
- Support the organization in employee engagement initiatives and performance management processes.
- Facilitate training and development programs for team growth.
- Address HR issues, mediate disputes, and ensure compliance with labor laws.
- Compliance & Legal Management:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and central laws and regulations.
- Oversee organizational policies and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Manage legal documentation and facilitate interaction with legal advisors when required.
- Operational Support:
- Assist in developing and implementing operational processes and procedures.
- Support administrative activities such as office management and vendor coordination.
- Strategic Support:
- Provide insights and recommendations to the leadership team based on financial and HR metrics.
- Assist with strategic planning and budgeting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Human Resources, or related fields (MBA in Finance/HR would be a plus).
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Accounts and HR roles, preferably in the non-profit sector
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial compliance, and GST regulations.
- Proven experience in handling recruitment, payroll, and employee management.
- Familiarity with legal requirements and compliance management.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks) and HR management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
