MakerGhat is an education non-profit looking for audacious and driven individuals to nurture India's youth to become entrepreneurs and leaders. You will work alongside a stellar team of education and design experts from Stanford and Georgia Tech, non-profit and industry leaders (such as the ex-CEO of GiveIndia and Pratham), educators, entrepreneurs (Forbes 30 under 30 co-founder), and makers of all ages! You will partner closely with government, and leading nonprofit, corporate, and research institutions to implement high-quality programs on hands-on making in schools and communities.

All positions are remote, but will require occasional travel for fieldwork.

**Azra Ismail (Co-founder, CEO)** Azra is an engineer, researcher, and lifelong maker. She brings her extensive experience working with underserved communities, operating in makerspaces, and conducting gender-focused research to MakerGhat. She is finishing her PhD in human-centered computing and global development at Georgia Tech, as a GVU Foley Scholar and WAIM (Work in the Age of Intelligent Machines) Fellow. She has previously worked with Google Research and Wadhwani AI. She has been recognized as an Exceptional Leader of Excellence by the Women Economic Forum, and one of 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics™.

**Aditya Vishwanath (Co-founder, COO)** Aditya is an educator, researcher, computer scientist, and entrepreneur. He was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Education list, and is a recipient of the prestigious Knight-Hennessy scholarship at Stanford University where he is finishing his PhD in education and technology design at the Graduate School of Education. He co-founded Inspirit, a startup developing virtual labs and VR simulations for K-12 science education, which has raised $3.6 million. Aditya completed his undergraduate degree in computer science at Georgia Tech, and has previously worked with Google for Education.

**Ujwal Thakar (Board Member)** A banker for 28 years, Ujwal has held key senior management positions at several leading banks including Standard Chartered Bank, BNP Paribas and Times bank. In 2002, he entered the social sector as CEO of Pratham, India's largest NGO in the elementary education space, putting to use his expertise in raising and managing funds, strategizing and project execution. He also served as CEO of GiveIndia, a pioneering platform for philanthropic exchange.
